Austin Intelligentsia ("AI") is a social network for futurist thinkers, academics, activists, including cybernaughts, transhumanists and other extropians, serious science fiction enthusiasts, life extensionists, including cryonicists, uploaders, singularitarians, Second Lifers and other virtual citizens.

Regular meetings will be held throughout the year. Information about futurist oriented books to be discussed will be sent out well in advance. Our next meeting in central Austin will include a critical discussion on: "How We Became Posthuman" by Kathryn Hayles, Phd. (Professor of English, University of Southern California).
