Hi everyone. I am glad to have the opportunity to learn more as a student of Transhumanism. Maybe I can even contribute to others knowledge as well.

There are Many books that deal with the singularity and transhumanism. Here is my reading list (of which I've only read a couple so far) I omitted 'The SingularityIs Near' because Duncan already mentioned it. Here are the rest:

• Science Fiction and Philosophy: From Time Travel to Superintelligence by Susan Schneider

• Star Trek and Philosophy: The Wrath of Kant (Popular Culture and Philosophy) by Kevin S. Decker and Jason T. Eberl

• Physics of the Impossible: A Scientific Exploration into the World of Phasers, Force Fields, Teleportation, and Time Travel by Michio Kaku

• Fantastic Voyage: Live Long Enough to Live Forever by Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman

• Radical Evolution: The Promise and Peril of Enhancing Our Minds, Our Bodies -- and What It Means to Be Human by Joel Garreau

• The Intelligent Universe: AI, ET, and the Emerging Mind of the Cosmos by James N. Gardner and Ray Kurzweil

• The Singularity of Awareness: from Mystical Theology through Contemporary Cosmology by Michael Kosok

• Beyond AI: Creating the Conscience of the Machine by J. Storrs Hall

• Chaos and Fractals: New Frontiers of Science by Heinz-Otto Peitgen, Hartmut Jürgens, and Dietmar Saupe

• The Physics of Star Trek by Lawrence M. Krauss

• The Universe in a Single Atom: The Convergence of Science and Spirituality by Dalai Lama

• Portals and Corridors: A Guide to Hyperspace Travel by Monica Szu-Whitney, Gary Whitney, and Terence McKenna

• Chaos, Creativity, and Cosmic Consciousness by Rupert Sheldrake, Terence McKenna, Ralph Abraham, and Jean Houston Ph.D.

• The Archaic Revival: Speculations on Psychedelic Mushrooms, the Amazon, Virtual Reality, UFOs, Evolution, Shamanism, the Rebirth of the Goddess, and the End of History by Terence Mckenna

• True Hallucinations and the Archaic Revival by Terence McKenna

• The Next 100 Years: A Forecast for the 21st Century by George Friedman

• Great Shift, The: Co-Creating a New World for 2012 and Beyond by Lee Carroll, Tom Kenyon, Patricia Cori, and Martine Vallée

• Ending Aging: The Rejuvenation Breakthroughs That Could Reverse Human Aging in Our Lifetime by Aubrey de Grey and Michael Rae
