The Concept
BIL loves TED. TED is a great place to sit and listen to interesting ideas. Those ideas make it online, and the unwashed masses get to see.
However, at some point we realized we are all interesting people with worthwhile things to say, and it didn't make sense to rely always on centrally organized top-down mechanisms for spreading ideas. There is a time and place for authoritarian conferences, TED is a great conference, but perhaps a little emergence and anarchy is needed.
Which is why we created BIL. BIL will take place March 1st through the 2nd in Monterey California. Participate in this event by lecturing, showing up, or just spreading the idea!
