Areas of interest:: existential risks and proactive responses; fundraising and infrastructure development strategies that maximize efficacy; biomedical engineering; philosophical defenses of uploading (I'm a reformed skeptic); analysis of diverse leadership styles; figuring out the best career path to take starting in late August 2007 (I'm considering a few options and am open to suggestions)

Area(s) of expertise/knowledge:: - Currently, I'm considering careers in neural engineering or law. I would like to pursue something I find interesting that is moderately lucrative.
- I have a BA in philosophy and almost a BS in psychology (concentrating on cognitive science and neuroscience)
- Recently, I've been focused on establishing an organization targeting students and youth that develops their organizing and leadership abilities while they advance the transhumanist movement.
- My ultimate interests are existential risk and humanity's evolution in the near future (particularly regarding AGI and nanotech developments, though also longevity medicine).
