I'm digging into Citizen Cyborg right now. Great stuff...you're certainly tweaking my mostly libertarian values with your (if I may) slightly socialist democratic proselytizing ;-) It's well written and very concise. If I were a critic I may even say "erudite...a delightful breeze" Now how about running for office?

Hi James (I'm Pedro, the guy who called a few weeks ago regarding Transvision '07, FM2030, and the IEET upcoming confernece in NYC, etc). Just wanted to let you know that I'm all set to attend the NYC conference and I'm looking forward to it. This year and onwards, I plan to be very active in the "transhuman movement". I'll be attending several of these conferences in 2007, thinking about what niche I can fill, and figuring out ways in which I can really contribute towards all of it. Thanks again for all of your great work and I look forward to meeting you again in a sexy high-tech, yet radically democratic future!

I'm a big fan of your ideas and it's great that we have someone like you around to express the more equitable aspects of a transhumanist future to the general public.

James, over that cup of coffee, could we talk more about Buddhism and your perspectives? We have a Sangha here in our corner of the midwest with a small, but growing following I've looked into briefly. I'm looking to go back and learn more this summer. And after looking at your vitae, you seem to be the man to talk to more about it with.

Welcome James. I've been looking into your Family Sangha links lately...there's a lot to delve into...it would be great to see a social network for Buddhist parents.

If James Brown was "the hardest working man in show business" then James Hughes is definitely the hardest working man in transhumanism!
